CURRENT
Impact Initiative 2022

Impact is our annual year-end initiative by which we increase our ability to fund local & global strategic partnerships, church planting, and intentional outreach events in the community. Below are some of the gospel opportunities we had this year because of our church family’s generous giving!

IMPACT INITIATIVE 2021 GOAL:

$150,000

It has been our heart from the beginning that we partner with other ministries & organizations generously, such that we have it in our DNA to give in increasing measure as we grow. By God’s grace, this is happening, and our impact grows disproportionately every year. This year, we are celebrating the exponential growth of our Impact goal from $10,000 our first year (2016) to now 15x that five years later!

100% of Impact goes out to our non-profit partners, church plants, and into the local community through events. With God’s help, together we can make a far greater impact than we could on our own.

Will you prayerfully consider making a year-end gift to increase our kingdom impact in 2022?

Local Partnerships

We seek to meet both physical & spiritual needs, coming alongside local non-profit organizations & ministries to support their initiatives. We do this through giving, serving, and praying.

WEHOPE
East Palo Alto, CA

Serving homeless & at-risk ministries. In 2021, we purchased a box truck to help with logistics and client moves. We also had the opportunity to sponsor year-end staff gifts for 120 hardworking staff.

FOSTER THE CITY
Bay Area, CA

A coalition of churches committed to providing a loving home for every child in foster care. This year, we committed $15,000 a year for the next three years to the work. In addition, providing $10,000+ in Christmas gifts for foster children and social workers in our area.

RESTORENYC
New York, NY

Making freedom real for survivors of human trafficking in the United States. $10,000 in Christmas gifts provided for Restore’s Holiday “shop” for survivors and their children.

TRYBE
East Oakland, CA

Youth & family programs helping youth with high needs realize they have hope of a future. We had the opportunity to provide $10,000 in Christmas gifts for these youth, as well as under-resourced students at Roosevelt Middle School and at Trybe’s after school programs.

Church Planting

About ten churches committed to help Current get started five years ago. These churches gave financially, prayed for us regularly, and even came to Mountain View to serve with us when needed. If not for God moving through churches, Current would not be making the impact we see today.

We now have the privilege to pay it forward, and partner with these new churches starting in the Bay Area:

• City Center Church (Berkeley, CA)
• New Valley Church (East San Jose, CA)
• Quicksilver Church (San Jose, CA)
• Storyline Church (Oakland, CA)
• Tekoa Church
(San Jose, CA)

Community Events

Pub Trivia was back in-person this Fall! We also got to run a “7 Days of Good” campaign leading into Easter, supporting and giving voice to local non-profit organizations and small businesses through social media giveaways.

Global Partnerships

HOMESPOT

Lavrio, Greece

$12,000 support for AMG Share, a door-to-door food and supplies care program for Kurdish refugees in a container camp, with opportunities to build gospel relationships.

COVID RESPONSE // BREATHE INDIA

India

$20,000 to support dire needs for oxygen and respiratory devices due to the Covid pandemic, implemented through two local non-profit organizations: U&I, Justice & Hope.
